Folder formatting

A big part of designing this folder was testing and deciding on the right folder format for the required content. The information points in a lot of different directions, and readability can be severly impacted by how and when the reader is presented with it. After testing I found that the double gate fold provided the perfect partings for the required content. All information is either on its own single-page or spread, so the reader is only presented with one section at a time.

Wayfinding and design choices

The design is a balance between a very simple less-is-more look, and the bold visuals from the visual identity of NEXT's vocational educations. To ensure guests find the needed information as easily and fast as possible, I aimed to keep the design minimalistic with extra focus on readability. I leaned into white-space, a bold hierarchy, and colors that provide easy reading, even on dark january nights.

Context

I designed the wayfinding map and event branding for NEXT Education Copenhagens big open house event in january in line with their new visual identity

The pre-decided visual identity, provided me with some visual guidelines, while I designed and text-formatted, as well as tried and tested materials and physical attributes of the folder.
